Todd and Cindy are both graduates of St. Paul High School. Todd first attended Nebraska Wesleyan and graduated from Southeast Community College as a Respiratory Therapist. In 1985, Todd graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Science with his Mortuary Science degree. Cindy attended Lincoln School of Commerce after graduation. Cindy assists on visitations and funerals. Todd & Cindy (Mostek) were married in 1986 and have two children, Morgan & Riley and family dog, Zoey. Morgan married Jordan Meyer in May of 2011 and they reside in St. Paul and have one daughter and one son. Riley graduated from mortuary school in 2018. Riley married Katlynn Behnk in 2019,and they reside in St. Paul and also have one daughter.

Todd & Cindy are members of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where they are involved in many ministries as Eucharistic Ministers, lector, music, CCW, Knights of Columbus, and Catholic Daughters. Todd is currently serving on the Housing Authority Board, St. Paul Cemetery Board and Howard County Foundation Board. Todd is a member of the National Funeral Directors Association and the Nebraska Funeral Directors Association. Cindy is currently on the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce Board and is involved in Teammates.

Todd and Cindy started Peters Funeral Home in 1991. We consider it a privilege to work with families by helping them celebrate the life of their loved ones.

Riley graduated from St. Paul High School in the class of 2011.
In 2015, Riley graduated from Hastings College with a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Business Administration. In 2017, Riley was then the recipient of the Swanson & Laughlin Trust Scholarship from the Nebraska Funeral Directors Association, allowing him to attend the Mortuary Science program at Kansas City Kansas Community College. In Kansas City Riley was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society and the National Sigma Phi Sigma Mortuary Science Fraternity. During the program, Riley was employed by Charter Funerals in Shawnee, Kansas.

He graduated summa cum laude from Kansas City Kansas Community College in the Mortuary Science program on May 18th, 2018.

Riley served his apprenticeship at home in St. Paul with his father, Todd Peters.

Riley became a licensed funeral director/embalmer in August of 2019.
Riley and his wife Katlynn (Behnk) Peters have one daughter, ClaraLynn.

Riley is a member of St. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church, the St. Paul Rotary Club, and is a board member for the Polish Heritage Museum in Ashton, Nebraska, as well as recently becoming a board member for Teammates of St. Paul.

Velda Peters joined the Peters Funeral Home staff in November of 2013. She is retired from Citizens Bank and Trust in St. Paul, Nebraska. Her family includes two sons, Todd & Tharin Peters and one daughter, Jill Freese. She has six grandchildren, three great granddaughters, and two great grandsons. Velda is very involved in Teammates, she is one of the original Mentors in the St. Paul program, and is currently on the Teammates Board of Directors, St. Paul Library Foundation Board, is a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and loves to read, bake, and attend St. Paul sporting events.

Dan Nielsen joined the staff of Peters Funeral after retirement from the St. Paul Veterinary Clinic, where he was in practice for 36 years. Dan is involved locally with the Board of Trustees of the Howard County Medical Center, the Howard County Foundation, and the St. Paul Economic Development Association. His hobbies include golfing and gardening. He and his wife Mary Jo are proud parents of 5 children and 9 grandchildren.
