Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Sack was born on Sept. 24, 1969, at St. Paul, the son of Bill and Jan (Schwenk) Sack. He was preceded in death by infant twins, Hailey Jo and Russell Sack, Jr. He is survived by his son, Mason Sack of Fremont; his parents, Bill and Jan Sack of St. Paul; one sister Kris Jakubowski and James Mudloff of St. Paul; and two brothers, Ron Sack of Omaha and Jeff Sack of St. Paul. He is also survived by one niece, Sophia Sack; and three nephews, Jordan, Trevor and Riley Jakubowski; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Russ grew up on the family farm southwest of St. Paul. He attended Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School and then St. Paul Public School and graduated from St. Paul High School in 1988. He was united in marriage to Amy Bredvick on Sept. 17, 2005, at St. Paul. The couple later divorced. Russ farmed with his father and uncles, as well as, his brother, Jeff, whom he also raised a cattle herd with. He loved farming. It is all he ever wanted to do. He worked very hard and enjoyed life to the fullest. Russ had a keen memory for remembering dates and enjoyed Cornhusker football, deer hunting, playing cards, golfing and relaxing. Family was very important to Russ and he was very proud of his son, Mason. He was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and served on the board of St. Paul Co-op Elevator. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Clara Schwenk and George and Pauline Sack. Memorials are suggested to the family’s choice.
