Randy J. Badura, 69, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.

A Liturgy of the Word service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. Rev. Vince Parsons will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is assisting the family.

Randy was born to Gerald P. and Shirley A. (Brouillette) Badura on July 29, 1957, in St. Paul. He was raised in Ashton and graduated from Loup City High School in 1976. On Oct. 2, 1982, he was united in marriage to Jackie Christensen in Ashton. To this union, two children were born, Krys and Zach. The couple later divorced.

Randy was a proud father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and took pride in the work he did during his time at Monforts, S.E. Smith and Sons, the Howard County Roads Department, Farmland and Honeywell. Randy found joy in riding his Harley, fishing, camping, playing pool, and spending time with his friends and family. He had a passion for vehicles that stayed with him throughout his life.

After his cancer diagnosis, he moved back to St. Paul to be closer to his daughter, Krys, and her family, who took care of him and cherished the time spent with him. He was able to visit with longtime friends and family during those last three years.

During Randy’s final months, he touched the hearts of those who cared for him. He was often referred to as the kindest and loving-hearted patient. His nursing staff and hospice caregivers will forever hold a special place in the hearts of his family for the love and care they gave him during his final days.

He is survived by his children, Krys and Evan Allen of Wolbach, and Zach and Chelsey Badura of Prospect, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Kaylee (Mason Anderson) Allen, Ethan (Maya Roa) Allen, Haylee, Austyn and Britton Allen, and Braxtyn, Blakely and Breck Badura; sister-in-law, Bonnie Badura; sister, Kim Mostek; and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Badura; and three infant grandchildren.
