She was united in marriage to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Robert D. “Sonny” Nealon on May 20, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. Sonny passed away on April 19, 2015, and she continued to live in Wolbach until moving to Rose Lane Home in the Fall of 2023.

She was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she also sang in the church choir, and was also a member of the Wolbach Community Club, the Town & Country Club and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 236 of Wolbach.
