Naomi N. "Pat" Neihart

Naomi N. “Pat” Neihart, 90, of St. Paul died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Howard County Medical Center in St. Paul. “Celebration of Life” services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012, at the United Methodist Church in St. Paul. The Rev. Martha Voigt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church, one hour before time of services. Peters Funeral Home in St. Paul is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at the Sheridan Cemetery in Auburn. Hall Funeral Chapel in Auburn will assist the family with graveside services. Mrs. Neihart was born on Feb. 16, 1922, at Genoa, the only child of Charles and Hazel (Harris) Kinney. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Neihart in Aug. 1999. She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Connie and David Snow of St. Paul and Sharon and Jerry Jaksha of Rio Rancho, NM; and one son, Rick Neihart of Somes Bar, CA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Jeff and Liz Snow of Inkom, ID, Deb Snow of Atlanta, GA, Vicki and Ken Snow Lilienthal of Omaha, Summer and Brandon Jaksha Leatherberry of Rio Rancho, NM, and Adam Jaksha of Carlsbad, CA; and seven great-grandchildren, Reagan, Riley, Ryanne and Ryker Snow, Eric and Brett Lilienthal and Lanah Leatherberry. Pat attended Elementary and Junior High School in Genoa and graduated from High School in Green River, Wyoming. She then attended Bonnie's Beauty School in Denver. In 1943 she married Gerald Bainter. To this union two daughters were born, Connie Lee and Sharon Jean. The couple divorced in 1951. On July 18, 1955, she married Harold F. Neihart in Jackson Hole, WY. Together they had one son, Rick Allen. Harold's job with the John Deere Company took the family to several Nebraska communities, including: Scottsbluff, Hastings, Fremont and Omaha, then Minneapolis, MN and and Auburn, Nebraska. In 1997, they purchased a retirement home in Sun City West, AZ. She continued to live in Arizona after Harold died in 1999 until 2008 when she moved to St. Paul, to be near her daughter, Connie. In May 2009 she became a resident of Matelyn Retirement Community , where she enjoyed the friendship of the staff and residents and the many activities that were provided. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1945 and the American Legion Auxiliary. In addition to her husband, Harold, She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorials are suggested to the Howard County Medical Center Foundation.
