Leora was born Nov. 14, 1920, southeast of Wolbach, the daughter of Patrick E. and Nellie Myrtle (Barnett) Lee. She received her education at District No. 6 rural school, north of Cushing.
She met the love of her life, Victor Dembowski and they were united in marriage on Jan. 16, 1945, at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul.
She lived in St. Libory, for the majority of her life, in a house that her husband, Victor, built with his own two hands. She babysat for many St. Libory children over the years and held all those families dear to her heart.
Victor died June 28, 2003, and she continued to live in St. Libory. In 2009, she made the biggest move of her life, when she moved to Sherrodsville, Ohio to live with her daughter and her family, where she lived until her passing.
She was a longtime member of St. Libory’s Catholic Church in St. Libory.
Everyone who ever met Leora knows that she had a large, warm and loving heart! She always had room for one more at her table and never let anyone go home hungry. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, playing cards and visitors.
