LeeAnn (Fredrick) Roberts

January 22, 1931 — July 10, 2010

LeeAnn (Fredrick) Roberts, 79, of Tacoma, WA, formerly of Ashton, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, WA. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Francis Catholic Church in Ashton. The Rev. Marty L. Egging will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Ashton. Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Roberts was born on Jan. 22, 1931, on the family farm, north of Ashton, the daughter of John and Anna (Garvel) Fredrick. She was united in marriage to Clarence M. Roberts on Sept. 1, 1953, in Omaha. She is survived by her husband, Clarence M. Roberts of Tacoma, WA; two daughters, Pamela Roberts of Tacoma, WA and Lisa Carron of Spanaway, WA; one granddaughter, Jennifer Carron; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gilbert and Jan Fredrick of Omaha and Wilfred “Fritz” and Marie Fredrick of Ashton; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. Lee Ann grew up on the family farm and attended Sherman County rural school. In the early 1940’s she and her sister, Evelyn moved to Omaha. While working in Omaha, she met and married her husband, who was stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. After their marriage the couple moved to Tacoma where they lived their entire married life. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for D.W. Fox Drywall for over 30 years and was actually still working part-time for them at the time of her death. She was a dedicated mother, loving grandmother and a kind and gracious lady who was loved by many and who will be missed deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Aloysius Fredrick; and three sisters, Maria Fredrick, Evelyn Fredrick and Angela Juhas. Memorials are suggested to the family’s or donor’s choice.
