James T. "Jim" Pritchard

James T. “Jim” Pritchard, 68, of Wolbach, died Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society in Ravenna. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Greeley. The Rev. Sidney B. Bruggeman will officiate. Burial will be in the O'Connor Cemetery, O'Connor, NE with graveside military honors by Ray Mapes American Legion Post 236 of Wolbach. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church, with a 7 p.m. vigil service. Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Pritchard was born on July 23, 1947, at St. John's Hospital in Spalding, Nebraska, the son of Joe and Mary (Byrne) Pritchard. He is survived by his companion, Marie Ryan of Wolbach; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Joe Pritchard of Stromsburg, Jesse and Nicole Pritchard of Lincoln and Justin and Tiffany Pritchard of Norfolk; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Nicole Pritchard of Fremont; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Kay Whalen of Sidney and Angela and Jim Carraher of Omaha. He also leaves to cherish his memory, two grandchildren, Journey and Jace; five nephews, Mike Whalen, Jason Whalen, Justin Carraher, Eric Carraher and Brian Pritchard; and three nieces, Christina Kremmel, Kortney Allington and Amanda Carraher. Jim grew up in Spalding and graduated from Spalding High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1968 to 1969, aboard the USS Coral Sea. After his discharge from the Navy, he attended Hastings Community College and then worked in the auto body and trucking industries. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Pritchard; and a sister, Jeanne Pritchard. Memorials are suggested to the donor's choice.
