Danny D. Wieck, 81, of Worms, died unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, February 27. 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Worms. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Craig K. Niemeier officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Worms.
Memorials are suggested to the church.

Danny was born on May 19, 1944 at the Grand Island Lutheran Hospital, the son of Oscar and Marie (Schoenbeck) Wieck. As a young man he attended Zion Lutheran School in Worms and Palmer High School.
He was united in marriage to Janice A. (Klein) Glause on August 26, 1978. The couple was blessed with a son, Justin, and their three daughters Tina, Wendy, and Jennifer of Janice and Gene Glause. They lived and farmed in the Worms area.
In addition to farming, throughout his life, he worked at the Grand Island Oxnard Beet Sugar Company, Airborne Express, and Federal Express where he retired to return to full-time farming with his brother Gordie.
Danny was member of Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed participating in fast-pitch softball, playing cards, meeting up with friends at the Worms bar, and sipping morning coffee at the St. Libory Pump. He and Janice took opportunities for recreation at events such as the Nebraska State Fair, the U.S. Open, and Comstock. He loved attending Nebraska basketball games with his son Justin, antagonizing his daughters, and attending extra-curricular activities and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son and a daughter-in-law, Justin and Steph Wieck of St. Libory; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Tina Naputi of Satellite Beach, Florida, Wendy and Russell Cook of Pottsboro, Texas, and Jennifer and Dr. Derek Ippensen of Norfolk; one brother, Gordie Wieck of Chapman.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Dr. Jessica and Jeremiah Jones, Courtney and Michael Lynch and great-grandson Patton, Brianna Taylor, Preston and Jenna Cook, Kelsey and Samuel Akins, Sophie Ippensen and Stella Ippensen; sisters-in-law and brothers in law Lila and Leroy Studley, Linda and Sal Mercurio, Naomi Rouse, Andy and Janette Glause, Paul and Marie Glause; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Janice on March 29, 2013; parents, Oscar and Marie Wieck, in-laws Herman and Lois Klein; infant brother; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Pat Wieck, Verona and LeRoy Seim, Bob Rouse, Loy and Jeanie Glause, and Larry and Myrna Glause.
