Cleon A. Schwarz, 95, of rural Palmer, died peacefully at his home on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the First Church of Christ in Palmer. Rev. Jerry Quandt will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Palmer. Visitation will be Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.

Cleon was born on March 19, 1930, on the family farm, near Archer. He attended Merrick Co. District No. 43 Stovepoker rural school and graduated from Archer High School in 1948.
He was inducted and served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954. He was stationed at Fort Knox, KY for 6 months for training as a mechanic. He then transferred to Germany for the remainder of his service.
He was united in marriage to Lila J. Glynn on June 20, 1954, at the First Church of Christ in Palmer. The couple have lived, farmed and raised their family near Palmer for 71 years.
The First Church of Christ was a very important part of Cleon’s life. He served wherever he was needed as a teacher, youth leader and elder.
He enjoyed raising cattle, training horses and his dogs that he loved to hunt with.
He is survived by his wife, Lila of Palmer; children and spouses, Kirk and Deb Schwarz of Archer, Collen and David Paine of Hutchinson, KS, Jerran Jackson of Clarksburg, IN and Alfred Juve of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Glenn Schwarz of Grand Island and Larry and Mary Ann Schwarz of Archer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ella; and two daughters, Carol (Schwarz) Jackson and Rhonda (Schwarz) Juve.
