We extend our condolences of sympathy and send prayers and love . We wish you God's blessings and comforting peace. Eugene, I remember those weekends you and Carolyn would take a venture away and you would call Betty and I to come stay with the children. Wow, were we busy !! God bless. I'll be forever grateful for Carolyn and Eugene for opening their home to me when I needed home as I was spending an exchange student year in St. Paul 1993-1994. Carolyn was a great role model and a supporter for someone who had lost her own mother five years ealier and lived a very difficult time in her teenage years far away from home. Carolyn was honest, determined and in a way tough lady but she also was extremely loving, caring and accepting. When someone had something to say, she looked straight into their eyes and really listened. She had an ability to see others needs in a discreet way and care for others. She tauch me a lot about respect for myself and others. She also was a great example of living through very difficult times in her life but still maintaining the hope and optimism. And laughter! I loved her and the whole Jorgensen family humor and crazyness. Two years ago I finally returned to St. Paul with my family and will be forever grateful for having the final chance to spend a couple of days with Carolyn and Peewee and some of their children and grandchildren. Life events often show their meaning a lot later they actually occured. Summer 2014 I had a chance to thank Carolyn for giving me a home, love and a year of normal family life which I actually no longer had back home. The year with Jorgensens ended up being my last childhood year in many ways. I also had a chance to enjoy all kinds of stories which reflected the rich life she was blessed with and seeing the benefits of a big family and remaining close relationships and love. I left feeling very blessed and happy but realizing Carolyn and PeeWee always have a very special place in my heart I will carry the rest of my life. And my three girls having a memory of "the very nice lady in the very tiny town in the middle of almost nowhere". I, my husband Jan and my three girls Eevi, Nelli and Emma send our symphathy to PeeWee, the children and the rest of Jorgensen family and friends. She will be greatly missed  Maija Gustafsson, Helsinki, Finland - a former exchange student 1993-1994

I loved visiting in the home of Eugene and Carolyn when we would visit from Texas...when our own children were toddlers. The Jorgensen house, the old hospital, was filled with its own 7 children. Carolyn was everything I wished to be as a mother...calm, humorous, and lovely. There was such a feeling of love within that house. If ever a person was meant to be a mother, it was Carolyn. Thank you, Lisa, for including all of us not living in NE during these final days with your mom. It was so appreciated to see the photos of Carolyn with her beautiful smile in spite of the devastating illness, and the loving devotion by her children.
