Barbara was born on June 12, 1935, in Kansas, the daughter of Perry and Geraldine Keegan. She grew up in a large, close-knit family whose bonds remained a meaningful part of her life.

On January 19, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska, she married Lloyd Paul Townsend, beginning a lifelong journey filled with love, loyalty, resilience, and perseverance. Together, they raised their children with strength, care, and determination.

She will be remembered with gratitude for her steadfast love, resilience, and the strong foundation she built for her family. Barbara's warmth, kindness, and the life she built with those she loved will be missed dearly but forever treasured in our hearts.

She leaves behind her beloved children and their spouses: David and Colleen Townsend, Paul and Veronica Townsend, Kathy Beladi, Beth and Reed Bittinger, and Mark and Helen Townsend. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Patricia Schoen, Marilyn O'Neil, and Elaine Keegan.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her sisters, Kathleen Grier and Shirley Greer; and her brothers, Charles Keegan and Robert Keegan.
