Darlene Ann Wolinski

April 24, 1962 — January 4, 2014

Darlene Ann Wolinski, 51, of Farwell, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach. Vicar Marcia Dorn will officiate. Burial will be in the Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements. Mrs. Wolinski was born April 24, 1962, at St. Paul, the daughter of Arnold and Dorothy (Hinkle) Klein. She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law, Stefan McClay of Grand Island, Scott McClay of Norfolk, and Tony and Kaycee McClay of Wolbach; her husband, Maury Wolinski of Farwell; one step-daughter and her husband, April and Jason Lentz of Farwell; one step-son and his wife, Michael and Laura Wolinski of St. Paul; one sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Ronnie Switzer of St. Paul; and five brothers and four sisters-in-law, Danny and Kathy Klein of Genoa, Roger and Sue Klein of Hastings, MN, Warren Klein of Wolbach, Terry and Diane Klein of Grand Island and Kevin and Ida Klein of St. Libory. She also leaves to cherish her memory 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Darlene lived much of her life in Wolbach, where she attended school until 1975, when the family moved to Palmer. She graduated from Palmer High School in 1980. She was united in marriage to Paul McClay in 1983. They raised three sons, Stefan, Scott and Tony in Central City and the Palmer area. She was united in marriage to Maury Wolinski on April 20, 2006, at Farwell. The couple lived in the Farwell area. She worked in home health care, Bomgaars in St. Paul and the bar in Ashton. She enjoyed working and being with people. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wolbach and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Dannebrog. She enjoyed gardening, baby calves and being outdoors. She loved her dogs, Bear and Sophie, and all her grandchildren. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gayland and Ronald Klein; one sister, Diann Austin; and one nephew, Nick Klein. Memorials are suggested to the family.
