Barbara Jo Crone

Barbara Jo Crone, 78, of Loup City, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at Rose Lane Home in Loup City. Barbara chose to be cremated with private family services. Peters Funeral Home of Loup City is assisting the family. Barbara was born on Sept. 17, 1939, in Phoenix, Arizona, the daughter of Thadduse and Eva (Kirk) Elkins. She grew up and received her education in Phoenix. She was united in marriage to George H. Crone on May 28, 1969, in Inglewood, California. Over the years the couple lived and worked in California and Arizona. For the past 10 years they have resided in Loup City. She is survived by her husband, George H. Crone of Loup City; three sons and one daughter-in-law, James D. “Jimmy” Blackwell of Phoenix, AZ, Patrick D. & Patsy Dunn of Davenport, Iowa and Gregory A. Dunn of Loup City; six grandchildren and several great grandchildren; and three brothers, John, Paul & Mark Elkins all of Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lloyd and Roscoe Elkins; and two sisters, Norma Jean Taylor and Judy Elkins. Memorials are suggested to the family.
