'Ronnie' L. Krzycki

Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Krzycki, 81, of St. Paul, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016, at Brookefield Park in St. Paul. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Farwell. The Rev. Rayappa Konka will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery southwest of Farwell. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 a.m. Until service time at the church. Peters Funeral Home of St. Paul is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Krzycki was born on Jan. 10, 1935, near Farwell, the son of Marion and Gertrude (Jasnoch) Krzycki. Ronnie grew up in the Farwell area where he attended Farwell School. He worked in his family's grocery and dry goods store until its closing in 1962. His mother died Feb. 4, 1966. He continued to live with his father until 1974, when his father became ill and was unable to care for Ronnie. The two of them then entered Abel's Nursing Home in St. Paul. His father died June 24, 1974. Ronnie continued to live in Abel's which later became Heritage Living Center and then moved into the new Brookefield Park upon its opening, where he lived the rest of his life. Ronnie will be remembered for loving to take trips outside of the nursing home and for his eager calling out of the numbers during Bingo games. He is survived by numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncles, August, Edward, Joseph, Martin and Ben Jasnoch and Roman, Alex and Vincent Krzycki; and aunts, Theresa Nowicki, Elnora Peters, Lucy Tylski, Mary Peters and Clara Rozmiarek. Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
